User Want rather than User Need. Connecting makers to markets and users with their aspirations. The person designing the tool really needs to encourage the dream, and not just be useful.
I fear this may contradict the commonly held wisdom around user centered design. We all say we like making ‘human centered design’. Yet we forget what it’s like to be a human. Emotional as well as rational.
